The work consists of the construction of a Second Floor Conference Room and Breakroom with an approximate area of 4,123 sq. ft. completely furnished as per specifications. The scope includes demolition and erection of walls, installation of HVAC, lighting, and fire alarm devices. All bid responses are to be submitted electronically through the City of McAllens bidding portal. Original, hard copy, and/or late bids will not be accepted. To view this solicitation, access plans and specifications, and submit a bid response, registration in the Citys bidding portal is required. Potential bidders are requested to post their questions on the bidding portal under the Clarifications tab for the relevant project number. A Bidder's Bond from a reliable surety company licensed to operate in the State of Texas or a certified cashier's check, payable without recourse to the City of McAllen, for at least five percent (5%) of the total bid, must be submitted in a sealed envelope as a guaranty. Failure to submit the bid security will be grounds for disqualification. The City of McAllen reserves the right to refuse and reject any or all bids and to waive any or all formalities or technicalities, or to accept the bid considered the best value to the City, and to hold the bids for a period of sixty (60) days without taking action.
