CR#: 2132193 This project requires providing P.E. stamped design drawings (electronic, CAD files and printed) for a propane-fueled stand-by whole house generator. The design must include an OEM cold weather kit, such as a block and battery heater, and a service-rated automatic transfer switch. Preconstruction estimates for equipment and installation are also required. The vendor must supply all labor and materials necessary, according to the scope of work, to complete the project professionally within 60 days of award. The scope of work includes: 1) Site visit and analysis of existing full load as per NEC Article 220.87 for proper generator sizing; 2) Specifying a Generac generator and transfer switch; 3) Proposing the location of a 500-gallon propane tank, tank pad, generator, and equipment pad based on a provided property survey, balancing serviceability, aesthetics, and economical installation—location subject to approval before design begins; 4) Including tracer lines and burial tape for underground lines, a service outlet at the generator, and the OEM cold weather start kit in the design; 5) Ensuring design compliance with the current National Electric Code, NYS Residential Code, and local ordinances; 6) Including a one-line electrical diagram and all required gas and conduit piping, with appropriately sized lines; 7) Submitting design documents at 90% and 100% completion for review; 8) Providing two sets of blueprints upon completion; 9) Supplying a probable construction cost estimate using Master Specifications and a provided form; 10) Including a design service schedule based on current workload; 11) Including required generalized statements for protection of service recipients and operations as needed.
