Renovation of an educational facility in New York, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The project involves construction services for the removal and replacement of the exterior facade and roof systems of the RFK Gymnasium building at Queensborough Community College. The work includes general construction, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and hazardous materials abatement, all to be performed in an occupied building. The contractor must schedule and coordinate all trades to ensure project completion and provide all work described in the contract documents. The construction estimate is in the range of $13,000,000 to $15,000,000, and the project will require adherence to a Project Labor Agreement. Bidders will be selected after review of qualification packages, and all subcontractors of every tier must execute a Letter of Assent agreeing to be bound by the PLA. The EOI (Expression of Interest) package must be organized and assembled as specified, with cover page, table of contents, and clearly labeled tabbed sections following the sequence detailed in the solicitation. Firms not following requirements will be considered non-responsive. Finalized construction/bid documents will be distributed to qualified contractors invited to bid. There are minority, women, and service-disabled veteran participation goals for workforce and contract value. EOI package submission instructions include providing one PDF copy via email and submitting information under each required tabbed section, following the required sequence and contents. Failure to comply may render the submission non-responsive and subject to rejection.
