Site work and paving for a road / highway in Viola, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The work consists of sealcoating hard surfaced and gravel roads. Bids will be priced per mile for 20 feet wide, single coating of hard surfaced roads, and double sealcoat of gravel surfaced roads. Bids must include pricing for situations where the Town furnishes chips, the bidder furnishes chips, and the bidder furnishes coated chips. The amount of chips to be applied per mile must be specified in tons per mile, with a minimum of 150 tons per 20-foot mile. Contractor must supply PG-5-28 5% Cutback Liquid Asphalt, proportioned and blended at a State of Wisconsin and AASHTO certified liquid asphalt production facility, with the amount applied listed in gallons per mile at a minimum rate of 4,250 gallons per 20-foot mile. Bids must be sealed and clearly marked as Sealcoating Bid. The winning bidder must provide proof of insurance within 10 days. Bids must be received prior to the specified board meeting for bid opening.
