Site work, paving and new construction of a transportation facility in Princeton, Maine. Completed plans call for the construction of a 4,225-square-foot transportation facility; for site work for a transportation facility; and for paving for a transportation facility.

Sealed bids are invited for Airport Improvements at the Princeton Municipal Airport. The work may include, but is not necessarily limited to: construction of a hangar approximately 4,225 square feet, including site work, building earthwork, frost walls, slab on grade, and construction of a pre-manufactured steel building. The project will also include construction of a paved apron for the hangar, including excavation, base gravels, and paving. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the project name. Bid security in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the total bid must be submitted with the Bid, and may be either a certified check or a proposal guaranty bond from a surety company authorized to do business in Maine, made payable to the Town of Princeton. The successful bidder must provide a 100 percent Performance Bond and a 100 percent Labor and Materials Payment Bond, and begin execution of the contract within five calendar days following the Notice to Proceed. Construction under this contract will be funded by a Federal Grant under the Airport Improvement Program (AIP) and/or Airport Infrastructure Grant (AIG) and will be subject to all applicable requirements of the U.S. Department of Transportation / Federal Aviation Administration and the Maine Department of Transportation. Award of the contract is contingent upon receipt of federal funding. Contractors must comply with federal provisions, including Buy American Preference requirements, Civil Rights Act (Title VI), Davis-Bacon Act, Debarment and Suspension certification, Lobbying certification, and requirements for Procurement of Recovered Materials. The Owner encourages participation by all firms regardless of business size or ownership. The Town of Princeton reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive any technical or legal deficiencies, and to accept any bid that it may deem to be in its best interest.
