Reference Number 0000315727 The University Family Housing requires a contractor to provide non-emergency (regular) and emergency electrical services to its Charles Street Student Family Housing Residences, adjoining commercial retail space common areas, laundry rooms, daycare center, and underground parking garages at 30 and 35 Charles Street West in Toronto, Ontario. Non-emergency services refer to regular work performed to ensure continued electrical operation and maintenance of the buildings. Emergency services refer to unplanned and mostly critical and urgent work that needs to be resolved in the soonest time possible to avoid or minimize further disruptions. All non-emergency electrical work required for the apartment units will be identified and scheduled by the Building Operations & Housing Services staff. All emergency electrical services required for the apartment units or common areas in the buildings will be identified on an individual basis and scheduled for immediate service. For emergency calls, the contractor will be contacted by Building Operations, Housing Services, on-site Maintenance Technicians, or University of Toronto Campus Safety. The non-emergency electrical work in common areas will be identified and scheduled by the Building Operations or Housing Services staff. The contractor must regularly communicate with the Residence Office, Suite 102, ground floor of 35 Charles St. West, regarding progress, completion, and any delays. The contractor is to sign in and out each time on site, and Identification badges must be worn at all times. The contractor will provide the services and required materials as needed.
