The scope of work includes the closure of the existing sewage oxidation pond at the Buckeye High School Campus. The work generally consists of the removal of miscellaneous concrete structures, piping, valves, fencing, and similar items; dewatering the pond's surface water; complete filling of the pond with imported fill material and compacting to specified, final grades; installation of chain link fencing, aggregate access drive, and implementation of erosion control and soil stabilization measures as required by the contract documents. Bidders must deposit security with their bid equal to at least five percent (5%) of the total bid price. Bid bonds must be written by a surety or insurance company meeting specified requirements. The successful bidder is required to provide a Performance Bond and Payment Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract amount, with surety meeting applicable requirements. Bidders have the option to submit bids and bid bonds electronically. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids for just cause. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is not mandatory but strongly encouraged. All provisions and requirements in the bidding documents are enforced and are not considered informalities.
