Renovation of an educational facility in Nursery, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Nursery Independent School District is seeking proposals from qualified vendors for the purchase, delivery, and installation of network infrastructure equipment. This includes wireless access points, managed network switches, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), wall-mount switch enclosures, and associated cabling. The purpose of the project is to replace aging network equipment and improve wireless coverage, reliability, and manageability across the district's campus. All specified equipment must be based on the Ubiquiti UniFi platform and be compatible with and adopted into the district's existing UniFi management controller. Question Deadline 03/15/2026 Provide and connect appropriate power (verify adequate electrical service exists at the building; if not, note in proposal) Verify ventilation and cooling is operational and sufficient post-installation Coordinate with the District's remote IT team to adopt switch into the existing UniFi management controller Note to Vendors: This location experiences sustained high temperatures during summer months. Proposals must clearly describe the thermal management strategy for this enclosure, including fan CFM ratings, thermostat set points, and any additional cooling measures proposed. The District will evaluate thermal management quality as part of the proposal review. 2.7 -- Wireless Access Points (Indoor) Qty 38 -- Ubiquiti U7 Pro Max Access Points Remove all existing indoor access points (mix of AC Lite, AC Pro, U6 LR, and U6 Lite models) Install 35 new U7 Pro Max access points in existing mounting locations using existing cable drops Install 3 additional U7 Pro Max access points in the main hallway at locations designated by the District, evenly spaced for optimal coverage -- these are new AP positions (see Section 2.9 for associated cabling) The District's remote IT team will handle adoption of access points into the UniFi controller -- the installation team is only responsible for physical placement, mounting, and cabling 2.8 -- Wireless Access Points (Outdoor) Qty 4 -- Ubiquiti U7 Pro Outdoor Access Points Remove all existing outdoor access points Install new U7 Pro Outdoor access points at designated exterior locations For 2 of the 4 outdoor AP locations (front of building and back of building), run 1 new outdoor-rated CAT6 cable run per location (2 total runs). Cable shall be outdoorrated/UV-resistant and installed in weatherproof conduit. Runs shall extend from the nearest appropriate switch location to each outdoor AP mounting point. All cables shall be properly terminated, tested, and labeled o Cable run - Server closet to front of building outdoor AP 200' o Cable run - Cafe closet to back outdoor AP 300' The remaining 2 outdoor APs will utilize existing cable infrastructure The District's remote IT team will handle adoption of access points into the UniFi controller -- the installation team is only responsible for physical placement, mounting, and cabling 2.9 -- Main Hallway Cabling (New AP Locations) Run 3 new CAT6 cable runs in the main hallway to support the 3 additional U7 Pro Max access points specified in Section 2.7 Cable run - cafe closet to hallway AP 1, approximately 150' Cable run - cafe closet to hallway AP 2, approximately 200' Cable run - server closet to hallway AP 3, approximately 100' Cable runs shall originate from either the Cafe Area switch closet or the Server Room / MDF, whichever provides the most efficient and clean routing path -- vendor shall assess and recommend during site visit or installation planning Access points shall be evenly spaced down the hallway for uniform wireless coverage, with one positioned near the front of the building, one near the back, and one centered between them All cables shall be neatly dressed, run through existing ceiling space or conduit as appropriate, labeled at both ends, and terminated and tested with documented results
