**As of March 16, 2026, this project has been awarded** The proposed work is officially known as Edwardsville Road Water Main Improvements – CDBG Phase 4 and consists of the construction of approximately 2,213 linear feet of 12" C900 PVC waterline, valves, fittings, hydrants, service connections, and connections to existing water lines. Instructions to bidders: Bid documents may be obtained from Sheppard, Morgan & Schwaab, Inc., at 215 Market Street, Alton, Illinois 62002. To request an electronic copy, email Christina Van Doren at cvandoren@smsengineers.com. Hard copies are also available upon a non-refundable deposit of $25.00. All bids must be accompanied by a bid bond, bank cashier's check, bank draft, or certified check for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid made payable to the City of Wood River. The owner reserves the right to waive technicalities or to reject any or all proposals.
