Site work for a water / sewer project in Dolton, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Sealed proposals are invited for a lead water service line replacement improvement project. Bids are to be submitted in sealed envelopes, clearly labeled with the name and address of the bidder and the project name. Proposals must be completed on forms provided by the Engineer, with bidding documents available from Robinson Engineering, Ltd. A bid bond of not less than five percent (5%) of the bid is required with each proposal as a guarantee for contract performance. The successful bidder must provide a performance bond equal to 100% of the bid amount. The Contractor will be required to pay prevailing wage rates as established by the Department of Labor and comply with all applicable Federal, State, and local regulations. Bidder qualifications and experience will be considered in determining the lowest responsible bidder, and prequalification must be submitted. Contractors or subcontractors responsible for water service line replacement must be licensed plumbing contractors in Illinois, with proof of license required before contract award. The Contractor must also be registered with Sam.gov and have a Unique Entity ID number. This project is anticipated to be partially funded by a loan from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency, and subject to applicable federal and state labor, procurement, and affirmative action laws and policies. The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals, waive technicalities, or readvertise for bids as deemed in the best interest of the Village.
