Renovation of an educational facility in Mont Belvieu, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Request for subcontractor proposals for the BHISD Pre-K Center Renovations. Purcell Construction, Inc., as Construction Manager at Risk on behalf of Barbers Hill Independent School District, will receive subcontractor/vendor proposals for the BHISD Pre-K Center Renovations as designed by cre8 Architects. Proposals and qualification statements will be received until 2:00 PM on Thursday, April 2nd, 2025, at the offices of Purcell Construction, Inc. Drawings and specifications will be available for review at the offices of Purcell Construction, Inc., and at designated plan rooms. Prevailing wage rates in conformance with Texas law will be paid on this project. All proposals shall remain valid for sixty (60) days. The Owner, Architect/Engineer, and Construction Manager reserve the right to reject any and all proposals, waive any informalities and irregularities in the proposal process, and to make the awards in the best interest of the school district. By submitting a proposal, each proposer agrees to waive any claim it has or may have against the Owner, the Architect/Engineer, Construction Manager and their respective employees arising out of or in connection with the administration, evaluation, or recommendation of any proposal; waiver of any requirements under the Proposal Documents, or the Contract Documents; acceptance or rejection of any proposals; and award of a Contract. WORK COVERED BY CONTRACT DOCUMENTS A. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of 1. The Work of this project includes renovation of an existing building. Work includes but is not limited to the following: a. Selective demolition of existing walls, ceilings, mechanical, electrical and plumbing for new construction including: 1) Concrete floor slab trenching and patching 2) Masonry walls 3) Roof patching at new penetrations 4) Aluminum framed storefront and glazing, 5) Drywall 6) Scheduled finishes 7) Room signage. 8) Acoustical ceilings 9) Mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems 10) Fire sprinkler system modifications 11) Technology, communications, AV and security systems. 12) Related items as required for a complete construction project as indicated b. Preparation of existing floor and wall surfaces to receive new scheduled finishes. c. Installation of new scheduled interior finishes including: 1) Carpet flooring 2) Rubber base 3) Resilient flooring 4) Acoustical ceilings 5) Painting 6) Cabinetr and casework. d. Modifications and related items as required to complete the Work as indicated in the construction documents. Each Subcontractor proposer shall examine the Proposal Documents carefully and, as soon as possible, prior to the date for receipt of Subcontractor proposals, shall make written request to the Construction Manager for interpretation or correction of any ambiguity, inconsistency or error therein which he may discover. Any interpretation or correction will be issued as an Addendum by the Architect. Only a written interpretation or correction by Addendum shall be binding. No proposer shall rely upon any interpretation or correction given by any other method.
