The work involves providing engineering consultant services to conduct a comprehensive site assessment for the La Biche River Provincial Recreation Area. The assessment will identify physical, environmental, regulatory, infrastructure, and budgetary constraints that may affect the phasing, design, or approval of development for a campground, day use area, off-highway vehicle (OHV) staging area, and an OHV and pedestrian bridge crossing to the adjacent La Biche River Wildland Provincial Park trails. The project is structured in three phases: Phase 1 – Information Gathering and Scope Definition: Develop a detailed understanding of the site, confirm data requirements, and refine the work plan for the technical assessments. Phase 2 – Assessment and Analysis: Conduct technical investigations to evaluate the site's capacity to support the proposed development. Phase 3 – Reporting: Compile and interpret assessment results to present a clear understanding of site feasibility and development constraints. Proponents are required to demonstrate sufficient relevant experience and qualifications to perform these tasks. The results of the assessment will inform whether the site is suitable for the planned developments and what factors need to be addressed moving forward.
