Professional engineering services will be required on a continuing basis for stormwater systems and other public improvements authorized by Chapter 190, Florida Statutes. The selected engineering firm will serve as the general District Engineer, providing engineering services as required. Applicants must hold applicable federal, state, and local licenses; be authorized to do business in Florida; and provide a Qualification Statement using U.S. General Service Administrations Architect-Engineer Qualifications, Standard Form No. 330, with supporting data. Submissions must include information on the applicant's professional personnel, minority business certification status, ability to meet time and budget requirements, past experience and performance (including experience as a District Engineer and in Sumter County, Florida), geographic location of offices, current and projected workloads, and volume of prior work awarded by the District. Each applicant must also identify the individual who would handle District meetings, construction services, and other engineering tasks. All applicants must submit one electronic and one unbound copy of the required documents by the deadline. The Board will select and rank applicants per Florida law and the evaluation criteria on file with the District Manager. The District reserves the right to reject any and all Qualification Statements and will not reimburse applicants for expenses related to submission preparation.
