The project consists of the demolition and construction of apron pavement with associated grading, drainage improvements, airfield electrical installation, concrete paving, and other related site work. Approximate quantities include 6,300 CY of unclassified excavation, 11,000 SY of pavement removals, 12,300 SY of concrete pavement section, 11,375 LF of compression joint seals, and 600 LF of storm sewer. Bidders must submit sealed bids and provide a bid guarantee in the amount of five percent of the total bid, payable by certified check or bid bond. The Dubuque Regional Airport Commission may hold bids for up to 30 days for evaluation and may hold the awarded bid for up to 120 days before contract signing, contingent on the receipt of Federal funding. The right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, or re-advertise is reserved. Participation of Disadvantaged Business Enterprises is encouraged, and the project is subject to relevant federal provisions.
