The project consists of 5,170 linear feet of grading of ditches and 797 linear feet of drainage pipes and inlets along Alma St., Flowers St., and First St. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope addressed to the Town of Tutwiler, marked as "Bid for Drainage Improvements, CDBG No. 1200-23-367-PF-01." Any bid for a sum in excess of $50,000 must have the contractor's current certificate of responsibility number on the outside of the envelope, or a statement that the bid does not exceed $50,000. Bids will be accepted only under the name of the bidder to whom contract documents have been issued by Plan House Printing and whose name appears on the official list of plan holders maintained by Plan House Printing. A certified check, bank draft, negotiable U.S. Government bonds at par value, or a satisfactory bid bond in the amount of 5% of the total bid must be submitted with each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a payment bond and performance bond each in the amount of 100% of the contract amount. The project is subject to CDBG, Davis-Bacon Act, and Build America, Buy America Act requirements. Opportunities for Section 3 businesses and residents will be extended to the greatest extent feasible.
