The successful subcontractor will be required to post a 100% Payment and Performance Bond. The Town of Westerly is seeking bid proposals from qualified Contractors to conduct improvements to a portion of the existing stormwater drainage system located on Beatrice Street in Westerly. The Town conducted closed-circuit television (CCTV) inspection of the stormwater drainage system on Beatrice Street in 2025, identifying a section of CMP that requires replacement. An area of localized flooding occurs along the roadway in the area of 20-22 Beatrice Street. The scope of work identified in this RFP intends to address these issues prior to road resurfacing, which will be handled under a separate contract following the completion of the stormwater drainage improvements. The proposed improvements generally include removing and replacing a section of 12-inch corrugated metal pipe (CMP), removing and replacing one catch basin, installing two new catch basin, removing and replacing catch basin frame and grates, installing 30 additional feet of 12-inch dualwall high density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe, and asphalt patching.
