This specification covers liquid chlorine for use in the disinfection of potable water. The liquid chlorine must be contained in 150-pound cylinders and/or 1-ton containers. The liquid chlorine must be 99.5 vol.% pure as determined by the analysis method described in ANSI/AWWA B301-18 section 5.3.2.1 verification section and must be ANSI/NSF Standard 60 approved. Packaging and shipment must conform to all applicable Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations. Estimated annual usage is as follows: One-ton container—120,000 pounds total (60 containers); 150-pound cylinders—135,000 pounds total (900 cylinders). Bidders must submit their bid response utilizing Public Purchase online, in person at City Hall, or by courier delivered to 220 W Mulberry, Sherman, TX 75090.
