Work includes 2" depth surface milling, full-depth pavement patching, placement of new HMA surface, ADA curb ramp replacement, and pavement markings on various roads within the town limits. Sealed proposals must be received at the designated office by the specified deadline. Bids received after the deadline will be returned unopened. Electronic copies of bid documents, plans, and specifications may be obtained from the designated engineering office. Only prospective bidders on the Planholders List will receive addendums and have their bids accepted. Each bidder is responsible for inspecting the project site(s) and being familiar with the contract documents and specifications. Each bid must include an acceptable certified check or bid bond equal to 10% of the total bid price and be accompanied by a completed Form No. 96 and contractor's financial statement. A performance bond and payment bond each in the amount of 100% of the contract price are required from the awarded contractor. For projects $150,000 or more, a written employee drug testing plan compliant with state law must be included with the bid. Bids not accompanied by the required items will be considered non-responsive. The owner reserves the right to retain all bids for up to 60 days, waive informalities, accept or reject any bids, and investigate bidders' ability to perform the work.
