Howell Public Schools will receive firm prime contractor bids for the labor, materials, equipment, and all other services to complete the Stadium Improvements scope of work at Howell High School. The bid documents consist of Plans and Specifications prepared by Kingscott Associates, and Front-End documents consisting of Instructions to Bidders, Scopes of Work, and Bid Forms prepared by AUCH Construction. Bids will be accepted via PreconSuite for electronic bid submission. Hard copy sealed bids will also be accepted, but electronic submission is strongly encouraged. Appropriate proposal forms provided by the construction manager must be uploaded as part of the submission. If delivering hard copy bids, they must be sealed, submitted on forms furnished by the Construction Manager, completed in full, and delivered in an opaque envelope identifying the company, project name, and proposal being bid, addressed to Howell Public Schools at the Administration Building. Bids over the State threshold must be accompanied by either a certified cashier's check or a U.S. treasury listed security bond in the amount of 5% of the bid. Scans of cashier's checks are not accepted. Cashier's checks must be delivered prior to the due date and made payable to Howell Public Schools. Proposals must be firm for ninety (90) days. Bids must include a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship between the owner or any employee of the bidder and any member of the Board of Education, or the Superintendent. Bids must also be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement for the Iran Economic Sanctions Act Affidavit of Compliance and Equal Opportunity Statement. Bids not accompanied by these documents will not be accepted. Successful bidders whose proposals are $50,000 or more will be required to furnish a Satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of their bid. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids in whole or in part, and to waive any informality therein. The Board of Education reserves the right to accept the bid which in its opinion is in the best interest of the Owner, or to award the contract to an alternate bidder other than the low bidder at its sole discretion.
