Renovation of an educational facility in Wallingford, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade educational facility.
The scope of work is the Boiler Replacement at Dag Hammarskjold Middle School. Bidders are instructed that registration is required to participate in Bid Events and to access Bid Question and Response information. The Town is seeking a contractor to Remove existing (2) existing boilers & all associated controls and components and install (3) new high-efficiency condensing natural gas-fired boilers Basis of Award: The Town intends to award the bid to the responsive and responsible bidder offering the lowest total cost lump sum cost. Questions concerning the work requirements of this bid are to be submitted through the Purchasing Portal The goal of this project is to furnish needed renovations to the heating boilers and associated systems at Dag Hammarskjold Middle School. This project includes the following elements: demolition; concrete fabrication; boiler installation; burner installation; hydronic heating piping; fuel oil piping; fuel gas piping and specialties work; chimney connector installation; combustion air equipment installation and integration; boiler energy control system installation and integration; associated piping, breeching, electrical and control work; and finish elements, including insulation of new and existing piping, equipment startup and warranty service, and staff instruction. Submitting Contractors shall note the project completion dates and scheduling of this project; penalties shall apply at the Owner's discretion if the Contractor fails to meet these completion dates. The submitting Contractor shall note that this is an active educational facility, and all work shall be performed within the program schedule guidelines of the facility, Wallingford Public Schools, and the Town of Wallingford.
