The proposed work involves the fully energized installation of electrical and conduit work for a proposed EV Charging Station base plate, a second future EV Charging Station base plate with conduit and DC pairing wiring, concrete parking lot, sidewalks, and other miscellaneous work related to this project at 200 S. Merchant Street. Each bid must include all interested parties and be accompanied by a bid bond, bank cashier's check, bank draft, or certified check for not less than five percent of the bid amount. A surety bond for the full contract amount is required. The contractor must be an ICC-certified EVSE installer (Illinois). Proposals must be submitted on the forms provided, in a sealed envelope endorsed for the "EV Charging Facility Project." The contractor must pay prevailing wage rates and comply with the Illinois Wages of Employees on Public Works Act and the Illinois Substance Abuse Prevention on Public Works Project Act. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive informality and to accept the bid most favorable to the City.
