The project involves providing construction services that include the supply of labour, material, supervision, and equipment necessary for removing the existing air handling unit 103 from the Museum's thermal plant and replacing it with a new unit. Bids must be received through the MERX Electronic Bid Submission System. Refer to the Instructions to Bidders for all associated details. Firms qualified to provide these services are invited to submit their bids in either official language of Canada. Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform. If a bidder fails to participate in a mandatory site visit, register properly, sign the Museum's site visit attendance sheet, arrive on time, and remain present for the duration of the visit, the Museum will have the right, at its sole discretion, to reject that bidder's submission. Bidders must be present no later than the scheduled time for the site visit if they wish to participate in the mandatory site visit and submit a bid. 3. Bidders will be notified of any changes to the site visit date by means of an amendment. 4. All persons participating in the site visit must bring their own personal protective equipment (PPE): safety shoes or boots and safety glasses. Persons without the appropriate PPE will not be granted access to the site. 5. Bidders are expected to carefully examine the site, fully inform themselves of existing conditions and limitations, and include in their financial bid all costs necessary to comply with the terms of the Contract.
