As of 4/28/2026, this project has not yet been awarded. It is anticipated to be awarded in May 2026. The work includes the rehabilitation of clarifier equipment by removal and replacement of mechanism components with new components, including drive unit, and replacement of clarifier bridge, handrails, and control panel. Rehabilitation of aeration basins by removal and replacement of air diffusers and header. Rehabilitation of chlorine contact basin by removal and replacement of air diffusers and header. Removal and replacement of existing walkway and supports. Removal and replacement of blower and blower control panel, including installation of new power distribution panel. Removal and replacement of lift station control panel. Removal of chlorine tank roof canopy and crane, and replacement of roof canopy. Blast and recoating of all interior walls and floor of North Plant, including sludge piping, influent piping, above ground air piping, effluent piping, and spot repair and recoat areas of corrosion on exterior walls. Each bid proposal must be accompanied by a Cashier's Check, Certified Check or a Bid Bond from a reliable surety company drawn to the order of Cypress-Klein Utility District in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid. No bid proposal may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening date. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to accept the bid deemed most advantageous to it. The successful bidder will be required to provide a performance, payment, and maintenance bond for the full amount of the contract. Replies will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by ENGINEER as having received the bidding documents. Mobilization and coordination with the operator to take the entire North Plant offline 2. Drain, clean, and remove all solids from North Plant and legally dispose offsite 3. Remove and legally dispose of the existing aeration system 4. Remove and legally dispose of the existing walkway and clarifier bridge, including clarifier motor, drive unit, and control panel 5. Remove and legally dispose of the existing clarifier equipment 6. Blast and recoat all interior walls and aeration basin and chlorine contact basin floors, including repairing areas of severe corrosion with welded steel plate patches 7. Grout repair clarifier basin floor 8. Blast and recoat clarifier influent pipe and activated sludge pipe 9. Install new clarifier equipment 10. Install new clarifier bridge and walkway, including clarifier motor, drive unit, and control panel 11. Install new aeration system 12. Spot repair areas of corrosion on exterior walls, including repairing areas of severe corrosion with welded steel plate patches, and topcoat all exterior walls 13. Blast and recoat all exterior pipes 14. Remove metal canopy roof, crane, and chemical storage tank and replace metal canopy roof 15. Remove and replace Blower No. 4 16. Spot repair areas of corrosion on Blower No. 3, including motor and support 17. Blast and recoat all above ground air header supply piping 18. Remove and legally dispose of existing lift station control panel and MCC 19.
