In accordance with M.G.L. c. 30, 39m, it is the intention of the Town of Franklin to retain the services of a construction firm for the purposes of constructing approximately 5,550 feet of waterline improvements along Pine Street and Beech Street within the Town of Franklin. The proposed work on Pine Street will represent the base bid and the proposed work on Beech Street will be evaluated as an additive alternate. The work to be performed will include excavation, water main installation, trench patching with hot mix asphalt, some sewer improvements, and other incidental work as required. Work under this Contract shall be paid for at the contract unit bid prices, which shall constitute full compensation for all material, labor, equipment, etc., required to satisfactorily complete the work. Bids will be evaluated based on the base bid price.
