Completion of improvements to the Chuchuwayha Domestic Water System. It is the intention of the Owner to prequalify Applicants with experience in work related to construction of water treatment plant, concrete water retaining structures, and linear water system infrastructure improvements, and/or other relevant experience, as approved by the Owner. The applicant shall have demonstrated success working with operations to ensure facility operations and compliance throughout construction and commissioning. Work will take place at the Chuchuwayha I.R. No. 2, west of Hedley, BC. Throughout the project, the Applicant will be assigned the role of Prime Contractor for the work sites and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act. The Applicant will be responsible for ensuring the completion of the following construction tasks: .1 Completion of two groundwater wells, including installation of pitless adapters and submersible well pumps. .2 Construction of 600 m of HDPE raw water transmission main connecting supply wells to the water treatment plant, including a directionally drilled steel casing highway crossing. .3 Construction of a new water treatment building including cartridge filtration, ultraviolet and chlorine disinfection and construction of all associated civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical and controls. .4 Construction of 300 m of HDPE transmission main from the water treatment pant to the treated water reservoir. .5 Construction of a buried, concrete water storage reservoir. .6 Construction of 850 m of HDPE distribution main into the community, including a new pressure reducing valve station. .7 Construction of access roads to provide access to infrastructure. .8 Decommissioning of 3 existing wells. .9 Start-up, testing and commissioning of the completed works, including warranty services.
