The contractor shall provide all necessary supervision, labor, transportation, equipment, tools, materials, supplies, and incidentals as required to satisfactorily perform electrical services on a time and materials basis to the facilities owned and operated by the Virginia Department of Transportation’s Culpeper District. These facilities consist of buildings located in Albemarle, Culpeper, Fauquier, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, Madison, Orange, and Rappahannock Counties. Typical facilities include but are not limited to office buildings, equipment storage buildings, equipment shops, material storage buildings, and fuel facilities. Services that may be requested include installing and/or relocating new or existing electrical services, rewiring/upgrading electrical panels, installing meter bases, replacing breakers, and rewiring buildings and facilities. Bidders must read and follow all instructions in the solicitation and ensure that all bid documents and fillable attachments are completed and uploaded with the bid submission. Required documents may include the State Corporation Commission form, Small Business Subcontracting Plan (if not a certified small business), Subcontractor Approval Request, Vendor Qualification Certification form, normal and emergency contact information, references, and contractor license requirements. Bidders selecting the option to complete all work themselves must be certified as a small/micro business. If not, they must use DSBSD-certified small business subcontractors and identify the subcontracted portions on the Small Business Subcontracting Plan attachment. All documents must be included for the bid to be considered responsive.
