As of April 6, 2026 the project has been awarded. The work involves rehabilitation of one home located in Sequoyah County. Work will include carpentry, drywall and finish, electrical, flooring, HVAC, paint and finish, and plumbing. All work must be performed according to the specified work write-up and completed within 45 working days. The home has tested positive for asbestos containing material (ACM); safe work practices are required for areas noted in the ACM report. Work should begin within two weeks of notification, with liquidated damages of $100.00 charged to the contractor for each working day beyond the contract end date. To be considered, bidders must fully complete the Mandatory Bid Response sheet and the Work Write Up. TERO certification through the Cherokee Nation Tribal Employment Rights Office is required for preference and proof must be provided with the bid. Successful bidders must comply with all Tribal rules, regulations, and TERO requirements, including applicable fees. Award will be given to the lowest, most responsive bid in accordance with the Housing Authority's Procurement Policy, subject to availability of funds. All costs related to bid preparation and submission are the responsibility of the bidder. No bids may be withdrawn within 30 days of the due date. The Housing Authority reserves the right to determine the best bid and may reject any or all bids. Indian preference will be given only to those providing current TERO certification. This project is subject to Section 7(b) of the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act. All TERO requirements and fees apply.
