Project Location: 205 South Street East, Talladega, AL 35160 2. Owner: Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind B. Engineer Identification: The Contract Documents were prepared for Project by Smith, Stegall & Associates, P.C. Sealed proposals are requested for the AIDB Blind Library HVAC Renovation project. A cashier's check or bid bond not less than five percent of the bid amount, and no more than $10,000, must accompany the proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of insurance will be required at contract signing. Drawings and specifications are available at the engineer's office for a deposit, refundable for certain sets under specified conditions. Bids must be on forms furnished by the engineer. All bidders exceeding the amount set by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed and display their current license number on the bid envelope. The Owner may reject any or all proposals and waive technical errors as needed to promote the Owner's interests. Nonresident bidders must submit a legal opinion regarding their state's bid preferences. The pre-bid conference attendance by a qualified and experienced company employee is required.
