The Liberal R-II School District is requesting bids for mowing services of the district, with work to be performed from April 1st, 2026 through March 31st, 2027, not to exceed 30 times per year. The scope of services includes, but is not limited to: routine mowing and trimming on a weekly basis; blowing debris from parking lot and sidewalks; weed control/spraying around buildings, landscape beds, sidewalks, parking lots, tracks, and fences; grounds cleanup as needed; snow removal of parking lots; shoveling sidewalks; and applying ice melt as requested by the district, paid per snow removal. Additional considerations: only mow when students are not in the area; do not mow when raining or right after. Bidders must be fully insured (worker’s compensation and general liability coverage) and in compliance with OSHA training. Bidders are required to conduct federal background checks on all their employees. The district encourages solicitations from minority businesses, women’s business enterprises, service-disabled veterans, and labor surplus area firms.
