Renovation and addition to an educational facility in Union City, Michigan. Completed plans call for the addition of a 66,416-square-foot educational facility; and 22,887-square-foot educational facility.
The project consists of heavily phased additions and renovations to the Middle/High School in Union City, MI, including 22,887 square feet of new additions and the renovation of 66,416 square feet of the existing high school. Proposals for all work categories as described in the Project Manual will be received. All contractors bidding on work must be bondable and include in their bid the cost for furnishing a Co-Obligee Labor and Material Payment Bond and a Co-Obligee Performance Bond. Bids must be submitted online with all required proposal documents complete and attached. All contractors are recommended to attend the pre-bid conference. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, money order, or bid bond made payable to The Christman Company in an amount of not less than five percent of the base bid as bid security. All proposals remain valid for sixty days after the bid date. The Owner, Architect, and Construction Manager reserve the right to waive any irregularities, reject any or all proposals, or accept any proposal they deem in their best interest. No direct contact with the Owner or Architect is permitted; all questions are to be directed to the Construction Manager.
