Construction of a new 87 bed correctional facility to replace the existing facility in Sydney, NS. TIMELINE: The owner is currently requesting services for market sounding and value for money assessment (VFM) for construction of the new facility. The goal is to assess whether an alternative service delivery model (ASD) will achieve greater value for money to the public as compared to a traditional construction model for the replacement of the facility. Upon completion of the Market Sounding and VFM Assessment the departments will return to Treasury and Policy Board with a recommendation on how to proceed with the construction of a new facility. Further update may be available mid-/late 2026. *Construction cost to be determined. All communications regarding this event, including addenda, will only be available through SAP Ariba.
