The Contractor must provide 4-year inspection services in the month of June each year to test the mechanical operation of the Combination fire/smoke dampers. The Contractor must complete inspection of one quarter of the buildings each year to meet the requirement of the 4-year inspections over a 4-year period. The Regional Psychiatric Centre has approximately 600 fire dampers within the institution. The electrical components of the combination fire/smoke dampers are not part of this scope of work as they are tested as part of a separate contract. The Contractor must locate existing fire separations and determine whether the required fire and smoke dampers and combination systems are in place.
