Site work and paving for a road / highway in Godfrey, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The scope of work involves the removal and replacement of concrete pavement on Chelsea Court, Mont Vista Avenue, and other related work as further described in the Project Manual. Each bid must be accompanied by a cashier's check, a certified check, or a Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an approved surety company, made payable to the Village of Godfrey, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the sum total of the bid. Contractors must not pay less than the prevailing rates of wages to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics performing work under this contract, and must comply with the requirements of the Illinois Wages of Employees on Public Works Act. Bids will not be withdrawn for a period of sixty days except as provided, and all terms and conditions of the invitation and the Project Manual must be agreed to. The Village reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive all informalities in bids. No business expectancy exists until the contract has been awarded. Bids may only be withdrawn for demonstrated and verifiable clerical or typographical mistakes, not mistakes of judgment. A pre-bid meeting will not be held.
