The City of Crystal Lake, Illinois seeks a qualified architectural and engineering consulting firm to work with City staff to evaluate options to remodel/ reconfigure or expand the existing stations, construct a new Station that would be located in the northeast area of the City (north of the Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) tracks, or a combination thereof. The product will consist of a programmatic study of space at each station, including a potential new station, cost estimates and construction timelines for each. The study will evaluate not only staff-related accommodation needs but also associated equipment (vehicles) needs (additional bays). The City is looking for innovative, creative and value driven concepts to achieve the stated goals. As with all government agencies, funding is limited and any significant investment of public funds must be the result of a well vetted and thorough study of needs and alternatives.
