Site work for a civil project in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Questions Due Date: Mar 27th 2026, 4:00 PM EDT Online Portal A certified check or bid bond for the amount of 10% of the total bid shall be required. Bonds are to be issued by a surety licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Interested bidders need to register at the PennBID web-site. Once registered, bidders can obtain all project documents and submit and update their bids online. Bids shall remain open for a period of 60 days from the date of Bid opening unless award is delayed by a required approval from a governmental agency, the sale of bonds, or the award of a grant or grants, in which event the Bids shall remain open for a period of 120 days from the date of Bid opening. Bids may not be withdrawn during this period. See Instructions to Bidders for other provisions on the time available for acceptance of Bids. All Bidders must bid on all items listed on the Bid Form. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish performance and payment bonds in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price. The successful Bidder shall substantially complete the project within 180 calendar days of receipt of the Notice to Proceed. This contract is subject to the following: the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act conditions; the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 (OSHA) conditions; the Pennsylvania Act 229 of 2002; the Pennsylvania One Call Act, also known as the Underground Utility Line Protection Law, Act 287 of 1974, as amended; the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act 222 Conditions; and the non-discrimination in Employment/Contract Compliance Regulations Conditions; requirement of a Non-Collusion Affidavit; and the Pennsylvania Public Works Employment Verification Act, 43 P.S. 167.1-167.11. The South Hanover Township Sewer Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids. Installation of approximately 325 LF 16" HDPE DR-11 Forcemain and 365 LF 18" PVC SDR-26 gravity sewer to convey sewage from the existing Swatara Creek Pump Station to a new discharge point along an existing 48" gravity sewer main owned and operated by Derry Township Municipal Authority. Construction of the new line will require installation of two new manholes and relining an existing manhole. Approximately 33 LF 10" Class 350 DICL replacement header piping will be installed at the pump station and will include new valves and associated appurtenances, relocation of an existing flow meter, and installation of an 8" bypass pumping connection. Work will include the abandonment of the existing 10" DICL forcemain. Approximately 690 LF of the existing forcemain will be abandoned in place. Approximately 340 LF will be filled with flowable fill.
