Reference Number 0000423735 Bid Intent Not Available Purchase Type Duration: 2 years Option: 1 year option year The Housing Authority of the City of Newark is seeking qualified companies to provide chemical treatment to low pressure steam boilers located at various housing developments all located within the limits of the city of Newark. The intent is to award a contract to the Service Provider whose proposal conforms to this IFB price and other factors considered. The NHA owns, operates and maintains approximately 4,952 units of public housing for low-income tenants consisting of high-rise elderly complexes as well as low rise and townhouse projects. Approximately 4,243 units of this Housing stock is occupied with the remaining vacant units scheduled for either renovation, major rehabilitation, or demolition/replacement of suitable new units. The NHA has nineteen (19) housing projects. Eight (8) of these are designated as senior disabled elderly housing, three (3) are low-rise sites, and eight (8) are townhouse complexes.
