Sealed proposals are invited for construction in accordance with the plans and specifications for storm damage repairs on Fish Rock Road, CR 122 at M.P. 19.75, under DOT Contract No.: 250048. The work includes, but is not limited to, mobilization, construction area signs, traffic control, water pollution control, developing water supply, clearing and grubbing, temporary railing, roadway excavation, structure excavation, soldier and anchor piling, tie-rod assemblies, timber lagging, underdrain installation, non-P.P.P. outlet, terminal riser, RSP, structural backfill, class 2 aggregate base, HMA (Type A), HMA dike, HMA "V" ditch, M.G.S. (metal post), removing existing terminal section, terminal section (FLEAT), delineators, erosion control, and painting traffic stripes. Bids must cover the entire scope of work described. The prime contractor must possess a valid California "A" General Engineering or C-12 Earthwork and Paving license at the time of contract award. All bidders and subcontractors must be registered and qualified to perform public work as per California Labor Code Section 1725.5. If the successful low bidders business is in unincorporated Mendocino County, a County Business License is required prior to Notice to Proceed. The project is subject to prevailing wage requirements and "Buy America" provisions. No pre-bid meeting is scheduled. The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids or waive defects or irregularities in bidding. Base Bid $413,770 - $500,670 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The Contractor shall begin work within fifteen (15) calendar days after date of the notice to proceed and shall diligently prosecute the same to completion before the expiration of 30 WORKING DAYS. The Contractor shall pay to the County of Mendocino the sum of $3,600.00 per day, for each and every calendar day delay in finishing the work in excess of the number of working days prescribed above.
