Description

Site work and paving for a civil project in Gonzales, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; and road / highway.

The work includes the installation of approximately 1900 linear feet of 8-inch waterline, with fittings, fire hydrants, service taps, and associated pavement repairs; approximately 1400 linear feet of 8-inch wastewater line including manholes, wastewater service connections, associated pavement repairs, trench safety, traffic control, and installation and removal of temporary erosion controls. Additionally, the work includes approximately 4500 square yards of pavement reclaim with cement stabilization and 2-inches HMAC paving, and approximately 2200 linear feet of curb and gutter replacement. Bidders must submit separate sealed bids addressed to the City of Gonzales, clearly labeled for the 2026 UTILITY PROJECTS. Each bid shall be accompanied by a cashier’s check or certified check from a national or state bank, or a bid bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total actual bid price as a guarantee. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder, but the OWNER reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality or minor defects. Bids may be held for up to thirty (30) days for review and investigation of qualifications. Contractors are responsible for their own site inspections and investigations prior to bidding, and failure to do so will not be grounds for requesting additional work or services. Questions must be directed to the designated engineer before the deadline.
