Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Olney, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and road / highway.
The project is for Main Street Resurfacing and includes milling, hot-mix asphalt resurfacing, curb and gutter replacement, ADA sidewalk ramps, concrete pavement, pavement marking, and ancillary work. Instructions for bidders include submitting a certified check, bank draft, negotiable U.S. Government bonds at par value, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and an acceptable surety amounting to 5% of the total bid. Contractors must pay no less than the prevailing wage rate to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics performing work under the contract and comply with the Illinois Wages of Employees on Public Works Act. Contractors must ensure non-discrimination in employment. The City of Olney reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive informality in bidding. A Substance Abuse Policy must be submitted before signing the contract. Bids may be held for up to 60 days while the city reviews bids and investigates bidder qualifications prior to awarding the contract.
