Site work, paving and renovation of a bridge / tunnel in Superior, Montana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
The work involves selective rehabilitation of the Lozeau Bridge (MDT Bridge # - 03694) near Lozeau, MT, originally constructed in 1944 over the Clark Fork River. The existing structure has eight simple spans with a combination of timber stringer girder superstructures with timber plank decks, and steel truss superstructures. All substructure units are concrete piers. The work includes, but is not limited to: removal and replacement of the existing bearing assembly at Pier 5; removal and replacement of a single timber stringer on Span 7 along with the associated damaged bridge barrier railing; removal and replacement of the existing bridge railing, transverse glulam deck panels, timber plank decking, and existing utility conduit in the area adjacent to Pier 5. Bidders are instructed to obtain and examine the complete Bidding Documents from the designated website or the Mineral County Clerk & Recorders Office. Prospective Bidders are urged to register with the designated website as a plan holder. Only official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents from the designated website are valid. No pre-bid conference will be held. Questions must be submitted by email as described in the Bidding Documents. For full requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders included in the Bidding Documents.
