The work also requires the removal and offsite disposal of an existing large-diameter pipe culvert, its concrete drop inlet structure, and washed-out or damaged asphalt pavement, as well as the removal of silty subgrade soils. A new precast reinforced concrete box culvert will be installed along with new precast headwalls and wingwalls at the inlet and outlet, and a new energy dissipator consisting of a riprap-lined stilling basin and apron will be constructed at the outlet. The project includes clearing and grubbing of trees with offsite disposal, stockpiling and reusing existing 18-inch rock riprap, and cleaning and adjusting three existing concrete drop inlet structures and their culverts. Work also includes excavation, filling, trenching, backfilling, compaction, grading, placing topsoil and seeding in disturbed areas, and installing, maintaining, inspecting, and removing erosion and sediment control measures.
