Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or a certified or cashier's check, acceptable to the Owner, in an amount not less than two percent (2%) of the total amount bid, as a guarantee that the successful bidder will enter into the contract documents and execute the bonds on the forms provided and provide the required insurance certificates and bonds within seven days after receipt of contract documents. If a certified or cashier's check is provided, the successful bidder shall deliver the original certified or cashier's check within one business day of receipt of the bid opening. Bidders may review and obtain copies of the bidding documents from the specified website and must register to view or download documents. By submitting a bid, the bidder acknowledges and agrees that the contract documents may be accepted, executed, or agreed to electronically. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive all defects and irregularities in bidding or bidding process except the time for submitting a bid. The successful bidder, if any, will be the responsible bidder which will be most advantageous and result in the best and most economical completion of the project.
