The Board of Education of the Cheboygan Area Schools is accepting firm, sealed bids for surfacing of the High School Track and Tennis Courts. Sealed bids will be received at the Cheboygan Area Schools Board of Education Office. Oral, telephone, fax, or electronic mail bids are invalid and will not receive consideration. Bids must have the following label clearly visible on the package: HIGH SCHOOL TRACK & TENNIS COURTS SURFACING. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bidding details and specifications are available from the Transportation, Maintenance & Grounds Manager. An optional Pre-Bid Walkthrough will be held at the CAS Track (track is located behind the High School). All bids must be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship that exists between the owner or any employee of the bidder and any member of the Cheboygan Area Schools Board of Education or the Superintendent of Cheboygan Area Schools. No bid shall be accepted that does not include this sworn and notarized disclosure statement. All bids must also be accompanied by a sworn and notarized Affidavit of Compliance with the Iran Economic Sanctions Act. No bid shall be accepted that does not include this sworn and notarized statement. All bids must include a Bid Security for 5% of the bid amount payable to Cheboygan Area Schools in either the form of a certified bank check or bid bond. Cheboygan Area Schools reserves the right to reject any and all bids, either in whole or in part; is not obligated to accept the lowest or any other bid; may waive any informality, irregularity, and/or errors in bids; and in general, to make awards in any manner deemed to be in the best interests of the owner.
