The work to be performed provides for the improvement of Center Drive within the City of DuPont by grinding and overlaying the existing asphalt travel lanes and turn lanes between Palisade Blvd. and Kincaid St, extended beyond the intersections of Bob's Hollow Lane; including traffic signal detection loops, push buttons, ADA sidewalk curb ramps, pavement markings, and other work, all in accordance with the contract plans, provisions, and the Standard Specifications for Road Bridge and Municipal Construction. The work described in these Contract Documents shall be physically completed within 30 working days. Bidders must submit sealed bids labeled appropriately; late bids will not be considered. Each bid shall include a bid bond in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or bond payable to the City for not less than five percent (5%) of the bid. The deposit is forfeited if the successful bidder fails or refuses to enter into a contract for the improvement within the specified time. All prospective prime contract bidders, subcontractors, and vendors must register at Builders Exchange of Washington to access bid documents and receive any addenda. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities, and to award the project to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder whose bid complies with all prescribed formalities. Workers performing work in conjunction with the contract shall receive State of Washington prevailing wages.
