The work includes site preparation and placement of three concrete foundations for historic structures as part of the Fargo-Moorhead Metro Flood Risk Management Project. The contractor shall prepare the site, pour concrete foundations, and perform final grading and seeding. The contractor will also be responsible for moving the Bernhardson Farmhouse intact from its current location and placing it on one of the new foundations. The Bernhardson Farmhouse is a two-story rectangular wood-frame structure built in 1874. Two additional foundations will be constructed for historic cabins that will be reassembled under a separate contract. Work at the destination site must be coordinated to ensure the site is free of equipment and hazards for the full week before and after Labor Day weekend 2026 due to the annual Western Minnesota Steam Threshers Reunion. The farmhouse relocation must be completed by the end of the 2026 construction season, with final site restoration and seeding permitted in 2027. The contractor must provide a detailed project timeline, demonstrate relevant experience in intact structure moves, submit past performance references, and furnish performance and payment bonds.
