Renovation of a road / highway in Cape Charles, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a road / highway.

The Town of Cape Charles is inviting bids for upgrading the electrical system and lighting on the north side of Mason Avenue. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive irregularities and informalities in any bid. Bids received after the specified time of closing will be returned unopened. Base Bid - Provide and install approximately six hundred ( 600 ) linear feet of conduit and wiring from the existing westernmost light pole on the north side of Mason Avenue to the northeast corner of Mason and Bay avenues . Provide and install concrete bases and mounting bolts for six (6) new light poles . Provide and install an underground junction box / handhole for each light pole and the existing westernmost light pole (total of seven (7)). Install and wire six (6) light poles to be provided by Owner . Provide , install and wire four (4) power pedestals and GFCI single gang receptacles for tree lighting . Connect and test wiring to existing circuit , all light poles and power pedestals . Refer to attached drawing for locations of new light poles and power pedestals . Bid Alternate # 1 - Provide and install approximately two hundred (250 ) linear feet of conduit and wiring from the existing westernmost light pole on the north side of Mason Avenue to the existing light pole near the northwest corner of Mason Avenue and Pine Street . Provide and install concrete base and mounting bolts for one ( 1) new light pole . Provide and install an underground junction box / handhole for both the existing and new light poles . Install and wire one (1) light pole to be provided by Owner . Provide , install and wire four (4) power pedestals and GFCI single gang receptacles for tree lighting . Connect and test wiring to existing circuit , all light poles and power pedestals . Refer to attached drawing for locations of new light pole and new power pedestals .
