The project is located at Deadman Island in Aransas Bay, Texas. Base work includes construction of 1,750 linear feet of graded riprap breakwater as shoreline protection, placement of approximately 13,300 cubic yards (neatline) of imported sand fill material, and the installation of 6 daybeacons. Additive work includes two iterations of increasing the breakwater template, additional placement of approximately 1,600 cubic yards (neatline) of imported sand fill material, placement of approximately 2,100 cubic yards (neatline) of sandy loam fill material, placement of graded riprap to construct approximately 0.9 acres of submerged oyster reef, and installation of an additional daybeacon.
