Site work for a development in Union, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a development.
This project includes removing a concrete bulkhead, expanding an existing saltwater lagoon, constructing a tidal channel, re-planting salvaged native vegetation around the fringe of the new lagoon. The project also includes removing existing riprap and several trees along the shoreline and streambanks, naturalizing the shoreline by installing large woody debris, bioengineered softshore armoring and a deformable gravel berm, performing work within Twanoh Creek that includes expanding the floodplain, installing clusters of large woody debris within the stream and floodplain, removing and replacing a pedestrian bridge and abutments, and installing bioengineered streambanks.
