Renovation of an educational facility in Springfield, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Replacement of existing roofing with new single-ply roofing system at Springfield Southeast High School. Pre-qualification requirements: Bids will be received from prequalified general contractors. Bidders are required to be signatory to the Project Labor Agreement (PLA) between the Springfield School District #186 and the Central Illinois Building and Construction Trades Council. Bids must include a properly completed Proposal Form in duplicate, a bid deposit in the amount of 10% of the bid, and information for minority owned businesses performing at least a percentage of the work and the proposal dollar value of the work. Bidders must submit a notarized certification that the contractor is not barred from bidding due to certain violations. Successful bidders must provide Surety Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each equal to 100% of the contract cost, from a qualified surety. All work must comply with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act and prevailing wage rates. All bidders are strongly encouraged to register and obtain bid documents via the designated online plan room.
