General Construction, Plumbing, Mechanical, and Electrical work is required for the Community Services Building located at 774 Main Street, Cairo, New York. Separate sealed bids will be received for these services. Complete sets of drawings, specifications, and bid forms are available for download. Bidders are responsible for ensuring their bid is received at the designated location prior to the opening time. Bidders must notify the architect promptly if any errors, omissions, or ambiguities are found within the contract documents. Questions regarding the contract documents must be submitted in writing and will be addressed via written addenda. A Bid Bond or Certified Check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Base Bid is required with the proposal. Performance Bond and Labor Material Payment Bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum are required at the time the contract is signed. Attention is called to the Owner's sales tax exemption, the minimum wage rates that must be paid under the contract, and certification of Non-Collusion. Bidders must meet qualification requirements, including bonding and insurance, financial statements, bank references, a list of prior legal proceedings, a statement of Surety's intent to issue required bonds, and a description of similar projects completed. Compliance with New York State prevailing wage and supplement requirements is required.
